Starting Over

Child of God one of the most challenging situations in life can be starting over, especially if that change happened unexpectedly and was not a part of your plan. Whether it’s a divorce, relocation to another country or state, loss of a job or any circumstance that causes a drastic unplanned change in your life, it's important to lean on God throughout that transition.

Majority of the time, a loss or unplanned change can cause you to be isolated because that comfort zone and support system you’ve always had, might simply not be available. It's easy to land in a dark place of grief or to spend years mourning a loss, but The Lord is good, He has a word for every season and situation.

Psalm 91 vs 1-2 (Amplified) begins by saying, “ He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of The Almighty. I will say of The Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God on Him I lean and rely and in Him I confidently trust.” When your world has been shaken and the rug has been pulled from under your feet, know that the stability you seek can only be found in The Lord. It is imperative for you to not only whole heartedly trust God, but to completely lean on Him and forsake your own rationale or theories as to why you wound up in this situation. It is in times of silence and total submission that you can clearly hear from The Lord. Psalm 91 vs 15 (Amplified), states, “He shall call upon me, and I will answer him, I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.” Is this not a testament of God’s unwavering love? He is with us when we are in trouble, but also assures us that when we call on Him, He will answer and He will deliver us.

Change might be uncomfortable, but God is with you every step of the way. One chapter might have closed, but a new chapter has begun. The new chapter is blank and you have the ability to decide what to make of this new season. Grab your pen and paper and write out your hopes and aspirations for the new season. A new chapter can be filled with joy, peace, success, prosperity, healing and restoration, but you have to make up your mind that the new chapter shall be a great one and that with God all things are possible.
