Faithful

Child of God, if there is one thing that we know to be true, is that God is faithful all day and everyday. Regardless of whether his promise comes to pass in days, months or even years, one thing we know for sure is that, “ The one who calls you is faithful, and He will do it,” (1 Thessalonians 5 vs 24). For some of you a lot of time has passed, some of you have been waiting for years or even decades for the word the Lord gave you to come to pass. You might have waited for such an extensive time that people consider you a fool for still holding on to the promise of The Lord.

Some of you have been mocked because of your situation and even been challenged as to where your God is? Despite the mockery and your own discouragement and disappointment, child of God it is of the utmost importance you remain steadfast in The Lord. In Genesis 17 vs 5, God appeared to Abraham when he was 99 years old and said to him, “ I have made you father of many nations. I will make you very fruitful; I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you.” If there is any man whose faith was truly tested, it is Abraham. Not only were Abraham and his wife advanced in age, but Sarah was barren and according to what God said, she would give birth at the age of 90. Majority of the time, the promises of God are not feasible or realistic according to the standards of man, but as a child of God it is up to you to believe God’s promises no matter the time or season.

I’m sure in Abraham's time, there were people who discouraged him or even laughed at  him for believing that he and Sarah would have a son after essentially a lifetime of failing to have children. However, today there is no person who ridicules Abraham because his wife in fact bore him a son in his old age. Abraham indeed became the father of many nations and kings were birthed from his descendants. The Lord was faithful, and fulfilled every promise He made to Abraham.

Let Abraham's life story be a testament to the unwavering faithfulness of God.  Hold on to the promise God gave you, your time is coming, and you will live to see the goodness of The Lord in the land of the living, because The Most High God is faithful.
